World Book  and Copy Right Day was celebrated in school Assembly on 23rd April 2026. World Book Day  Lalit Mahajan SVM Senior Secondary School,  Vasant Vihar Date: 23-04-2026 World Book Day was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm at Lalit Mahajan SVM Senior Secondary School on 23rd April 2026. T he programme was held under the guidance of Principal Sir Shri Sanjay Sharma Ji and was organized to encourage students to develop the habit of reading books and to understand the importance of literature in our lives. The event began with a speech by Sagar of Class XII-A on the topic World Book Day . He explained the importance of books and described them as our best friends. After that, Himanshi of Class XII-A spoke on My Favorite Stories About Nature. She shared beautiful thoughts about nature and the lessons that stories about nature teach us.  As the end of the Academic Session 2025-26 draws to a close Students recalled their experiences of book reading and tried to recall the names of the books they have read.  Group Activity: Create Sentences with the Names of the Books you have read. VISIT TO WORLD BOOK FAIR 2026

 Lalit Mahajan SVM Sr.Sec.School, Vasant Vihar  Date: January 13, 2026 On January 13, 2026, students of Class 9th and accompanying teachers visited the World Book Fair at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The event aimed to foster a love for reading and explore literary works from around the world. Upon arrival, students were thrilled to see the vast array of books, interactive stalls, and cultural exhibitions. They explored various genres, including fiction, non-fiction, and academic books The fair featured special sessions on storytelling, book launches, and workshops, which the students found engaging and informative. Highlights included the UNESCO pavilion, India's rich literary heritage display, and a session on digital publishing trends. Students returned with books and a renewed enthusiasm for reading, inspired by the diverse literary experiences.* The visit reinforced the importance of books in broadening perspectives and fostering global understanding.

 Due to severe pollution in the capital city classes from nursery to 5th were completely shifted to online mode from 17th Dec 2025 .Classes 6th to 9th and 11th are running in Hybrid mode .  Here is the sneak peak into the online classes where students of class 3rd A ,3rd B,4th A ,4th B and 5th   thoroughly enjoyed reading E Books from the story weaver site .
